Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), profile picture, time zone, language and preferences.
• Meeting information — meeting titles, times, the display names of people who joined, chat messages, and, when the host turns it on, transcripts and AI summaries.
• Payment information — handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and invoice details, never your full card number.
• Technical information — basic logs (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the service secure and reliable.

What we don't collect

• We don't record your audio or video on our servers. Video and audio travel directly between participants over encrypted connections.
• Recordings are made in the host's browser and saved to the host's device.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't use your meetings to train AI models.

How we use information

• To run meetings, deliver chat messages and show who is in a meeting.
• To generate transcripts and AI summaries when the host enables them.
• To manage your account and subscription, and to send service emails such as password resets.
• To protect Meetly from abuse and keep it secure.

AI processing

When Meetly AI is used, the meeting's transcript and chat are sent to our AI provider to produce answers and summaries. Our provider processes this data to deliver the service to us and does not use it to train its models.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run Meetly: cloud hosting, Stripe for payments, an AI provider for Meetly AI, and an email provider for service emails.

Retention

We keep meeting data for as long as your account exists, so your history is available to you. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email privacy@meetly.pt and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, secure session cookies, rate limiting and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a vulnerability, please report it to privacy@meetly.pt.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
